Triton Cycles Review

Along with my road ride, I wanted to purchase a cyclocross bike to enjoy the trails I have near me.

I found a bike I liked, and emailed the company (no names mentioned) a couple of questions about the bike. This was over a week ago, and got no response to the email, so decided to look elsewhere for something different.

That is when I stumbled upon the Cannondale CAADX Disc 5 105 Cyclocross Bike 2014. The bike looked stunning, had at least the spec of components I wanted, and was within my budget. The only problem being most stores did not have any stock until April.

I found one store, Triton Cycles, which did have stock of the bike according to their webpage, and as a bonus, had a 15% discount on the RRP.

Late last Sunday, I sent them a quick email to confirm they had the stock as the website stated. By 10.30am on the Monday morning I had a response from them that they did indeed have limited stock.

I had a couple more questions regarding the bike, so gave them a call, to which they answered quickly, seemed knowledgeable and were very friendly.

After lunch, I went to the website with the aim to order the bike, but was disappointed to find that the discount had been removed and the price was back up to full RRP. So I once again phoned up the company and said I had emailed and called earlier, and was about to order, but the price had returned to RRP, was there any way I could purchase it at the previous 15% off price. Without any hesitation, the lady on the phone said that would be no problem at all, took my delivery and card details, and asked if there was any particular day I would like delivery. I didn’t, to which she said “the bike will be with you tomorrow”.

I didn’t actually expect this to happen, as I know from previously ordering bikes, they usually take a few days, but sure enough, the following day the bike arrived.

This is the first time I have used Triton Cycles, and I was so impressed with the service I received, I have followed up the bike order with another order of some Cannondale accessories for the bike.

Note: I am no way affiliated to Triton Cycles, and all views above are my own.
